Nick, Art Class Taster Day participant
The Art Taster Day is the perfect opportunity to get creative whilst spending quality time with your friends, partner or family. It is also a unique way of celebrating a special occasion or even a fun away-day for a small team. Whether you a looking for a creative 'date-day' with your significant other or wanting a special get-together with some friends, the Art Taster Day caters for all artistic abilities.
The day begins with refreshments on arrival - tea, coffee and a range of home-made treats as you are greeted by Lizzie - your art tutor for the day.
You will then explore foundational sketching and drawing techniques using pastels, pencils, and charcoal. Guided by Lizzie, you'll create your own still life artwork, with ample time for individual feedback and encouragement.
Pause midday for a sumptuous two-course lunch in the dining area and reflect on the morning's discoveries whilst enjoying a view of the landscaped garden.
In the afternoon, you will experiment with mediums such as acrylics, watercolours and inks. Various styles and a variety of materials will be introduced and you'll discover ways to reorganise your own unique composition, inspired by examples from some of the world’s leading artists.
At the end of the day you'll depart with your completed artwork and a complimentary art gift pack, feeling rejuvenated and inspired to continue developing your newfound skills.
The Art Taster Day welcomes participants of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned artists seeking skill refinement and creative exploration in a safe and supportive environment.
Please note the Art Taster Days are for group bookings with a minimum of two people and a maximum of six and costs £95pp.

“I love encouraging people in their creativity and I believe that everyone, given the space and encouragement, can produce a personal and integral piece of artwork they can be proud of.
The foundational technical skills applied to drawing and painting are vital and each class I teach focuses on developing these but I also believe in generating freedom rather than perfection.
My studios are surrounded by nature and create a calming and safe environment where people are inspired to ‘have a go’, drawing inspiration from the work of leading contemporary and historical artists. I love seeing my students discover new depths of creativity and the moment of surprise and pleasure when they start believing that they can do it”
